The Busker Single Pot Still is a style of whiskey unique to Ireland, and this is a confident example of what makes it special.

Made in copper pot stills from both malted and unmalted barley, then matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, the result is a whiskey with more texture, more character and more going on than most at this price point. The unmalted barley is what sets pot still whiskey apart. It adds a creamy weight to the mouthfeel and a complexity that builds as the glass warms.

On the nose, honeysuckle and ripe fig open things up, with fudge and citrus following. There is tarte tatin sweetness running through the middle and autumnal spices that give it seasonal warmth. The finish brings resinous oak and white pepper, clean and dry and lasting. 

Pairs naturally with a light to medium-bodied cigar. We recommend the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2. The honeyed, almond and floral character of the cigar mirrors the honeysuckle and fig in the whiskey, and both stay elegant throughout without competing for attention. Drink responsibly.

Nose: Honeysuckle opens first, bright and aromatic, followed by ripe fig and a generous fudge sweetness. Citrus adds lift. Tarte tatin warmth develops with time in the glass.
Palate: Creamy and textured from the pot still character. The fruit carries through with pear and fig prominent. Fudge sweetness anchors the mid-palate and resinous oak adds structure.
Finish: Long and gently drying. White pepper builds steadily and autumnal spices linger. Clean, complex and satisfying.
