Cigar & Tequila Tasting Evening
A journey through Mexico featuring the Casa 1910 Cuchillo Parado and Don Julio tequilas
Join us for an exceptional evening dedicated to Mexico, where a rare Mexican puro meets one of the world's most celebrated tequila houses, in collaboration with The Martinez Group.
On arrival, guests will be welcomed with a Paloma cocktail before settling into a guided tasting experience centred around the Casa 1910 Cuchillo Parado.
Founded in 2021 and named after the year of the Mexican Revolution, Casa 1910 is changing the way the world thinks about Mexican cigars. The Cuchillo Parado takes its name from the town where the revolution began, and it is a true Mexican puro. Its Sumatra seed wrapper is aged for three years, its San Andrés binder for five, and the finished cigars rest for a further six to eight months before release. The result is a refined, slow-evolving profile of warm bread, soft cream, cedar and bright white pepper. Lighter and more elegant than most expect from Mexican tobacco.
Guiding the cigar experience is Lisardo Vivas, founder of Toro Puro and Habanos Master Sommelier.
Leading the tequila side of the evening, Mike Canham, Luxury Portfolio Brand Ambassador at Diageo, will introduce a curated trio of Don Julio expressions: Reposado, Añejo and the celebrated 1942. Each has been selected to pair with a different stage of the cigar, revealing new layers of flavour as the evening unfolds. It is a pairing the cigar's own blender recommends.
Guests will also enjoy a selection of Mexican-inspired canapés and bite-size dishes, thoughtfully chosen to complement the tasting journey.

1. Event Date & Time. The event takes place on Thursday 24th September 2026. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the experience begins promptly at 7:00 PM. Please arrive by 6:30 PM to enjoy your welcome cocktail and the full experience.
2. Location. The event will be held at El Puerto (The Old Custom House), Penarth Marina, Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, CF64 1TT.
3. Seating & Atmosphere. Seating will be informal and social, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no private or reserved tables.
4. Tickets & Refunds. All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the case of event cancellation by Toro Puro. If the event is cancelled, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Responsible Enjoyment. We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. Please bring valid ID. Toro Puro and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any guest who appears intoxicated or behaves inappropriately.
6. Allergies & Dietary Requirements. Mexican-inspired canapés will be served during the event. If you have specific allergies or dietary needs, please email us in advance at sales@toropuro.com so we can confirm suitability.
7. Photography & Videography. Toro Puro may capture photos and videos during the event for use on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of staff on arrival.
8. Use of Media Content. Event content may be used for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms, the Toro Puro website and event listings, and promotional materials (digital and print).
9. Storage & Consent. All images and footage will be securely stored by Toro Puro and will not be shared with third parties without your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting sales@toropuro.com. Guests under 18 will not be photographed, and no under-18s are permitted at this event.
