Casa 1910 built its name on cigars rooted in the story of the Mexican Revolution, and the Soldadera Edition carries that spirit into new territory.

This is a Dominican Toro measuring 6" x 52, built on a Habano wrapper with aged tobaccos drawn from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Medium to full in strength, it asks for around seventy minutes of unhurried smoking.

The Teniente Angela honours Angela Jimenez, a Soldadera of the Mexican Revolution who served as soldier, spy, explosives expert and flag bearer while disguised as a man throughout her service. Released in 2023, it is Casa 1910's first line crafted outside Mexico, made at Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic.

The smoke opens with almond and dry oak, joined by warm bakers spice and mild pepper, while cocoa and dark chocolate appear through the early stage with brief flashes of honey and a mild coffee note. Cocoa, oak and pepper spice settle into the centre as the profile simplifies, before wood, spice and leather dominate through to a warming, medium to long finish.

Appearance: Medium dark brown Habano wrapper, thinly veined and consistent in colour, with a tight seam and well-placed cap.

Cold aroma: Mild pepper spice, a hint of raisin sweetness and a faint earthiness from the foot.

First third: Almond and dry oak lead from the opening draw, with warm bakers spice and mild pepper alongside. Cocoa and dark chocolate appear every few puffs with a mild coffee note and brief flashes of honey. The most expressive and complex phase of the cigar.

Mid-third: Cocoa, oak, and pepper spice settle in as the dominant trio. Nuttiness fades. A mild bitterness begins to build toward leather.

Final third: Wood, spice, and leather dominate as the profile simplifies and dries into the close.

Body: Medium.

Finish: Medium to long, warming, with lingering wood and leather.
