The Davidoff Millennium Piramides is built around a single wrapper leaf that took 300 trials to get right. Hybrid 151, grown in Ecuador, wraps well-aged Dominican tobaccos into a medium to full smoke that opens with oak wood and roasted coffee, builds through dark chocolate and almond, and closes with liquorice and peat.

Sommelier's Notes

Appearance: Oily Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with a smooth, well-rolled construction and a confident tapered piramides head.

Cold aroma: Oak wood, dried coffee grounds and sweet prune, with a faint earthy depth.
First third: Oak wood and roasted coffee lead from the first draw, joined by sweet prune and a building, settled earthiness.

Mid-third: Dark chocolate and almond emerge as the dominant notes, with white pepper adding a dry, piquant edge and the complexity widening.

Final third: Liquorice and peat deepen the profile considerably, meeting piquant white pepper in a long, warming close.

Body: Medium to Full. Finish: Long and toasty, with lingering liquorice, dark chocolate and a composed warmth through to the end.

Heritage: The Millennium wrapper is the result of 300 Master Blender trials before a single leaf, Hybrid 151, met Davidoff's standards. It grows at a specially chosen finca in Ecuador, selected for its microclimate and the quality of tropical sun it receives.
