Two very different sides of Foundation Cigar Company, paired together in one box.

Foundation Olmec Claro Robusto (5" x 50): Named for the ancient Olmec civilisation, the first known cigar smokers. Golden Mexican San Andrés Claro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, hand-rolled at the AJ Fernández factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Creamy and sweet with cedar, nut and coffee, medium-to-full, 45 to 55 minutes.

Foundation Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo (4 1/2" x 52): An oily Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, full-bodied with dark chocolate, leather and earth building into a robust spice. Around 30 minutes, commanding and complex.

Recommended order: Foundation Olmec Claro Robusto first, then Foundation Tabernacle Broadleaf Torpedo to close. The Olmec's sweetness makes a gentle opener before the Tabernacle's Broadleaf intensity takes over.

Heritage: Foundation Cigar Company was founded by master blender Nicholas Melillo, and each cigar here tells a different piece of that story, the Olmec's homage to Mesoamerica's earliest smokers and the Tabernacle's old-world Broadleaf tradition.
