The Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill is one of the most recognisable Cuban robustos in the world. Medium in strength and sweet from first light to the final third, it became the first medium flavoured robusto from Cuba when it launched in 2006 and has remained a benchmark ever since.

Appearance: Rich Colorado wrapper with a reddish tinge and a natural sheen. Well-packed with an easy, consistent draw.

Heritage: Officially registered in Havana in 1875. The Short Churchill, released in 2006, was the first medium flavoured robusto from Cuba, carrying the name of the brand's most devoted ambassador, Winston Churchill.

First third: Smooth and sweet. Cedar leads with a creamy texture and a gentle aromatic sweetness developing quickly.

Second third: Dried fruit becomes the dominant note, with a soft honey undertone. Stays medium-bodied and balanced throughout.
