Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 (4 7/8" x 50): A gentle classic that proves mild can still be deeply satisfying, opening creamy with cedar and toasted nuts before turning honeyed and tea like through the middle. Mild, ~45 minutes.

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill (4 7/8" x 50): The benchmark medium Cuban robusto, sweet from first light with cedar and dried fruit developing a soft honey undertone. Medium, ~45 minutes.

Montecristo No. 2: Often considered the world's finest torpedo, opening with espresso, seasoned cedar and dry earthiness, turning creamier with cocoa and leather before a cinnamon and pepper finish. Medium to full, around an hour.

Recommended order: Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 first, then Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill, finishing on Montecristo No. 2. This moves cleanly from the gentlest, most approachable cigar through to the most commanding.
